June Beauty 2014

june 2014 beauty favourites rottenotter rotten otter blog

I only realised after searching through my blog while writing this post that this is actually my third tube of L'Oreal Million Lashes. I don't often repurchase drugstore mascaras as there's so many new releases and I like to try something new after using the same one for three months. I first bought this in 2011 and have obviously forgotten how much I loved it. Paired with Cliniques Bottom Lash Mascara my lashes still look pretty natural as this mascara doesn't clump no matter how many layers your apply, but my eyes look define and my lashes look longer. This also helps to hold a curl and neither mascaras transfer after a long hot day at work.

I've never had an electric toothbrush before, neither has anyone in my house for that matter, but after a browse on the Boots website, can you tell I was bored that day?! I saw that there was quite a lot of offers on them. I'd never pay £140 for a toothbrush but there was a half price offer on all electric toothbrushes and a few other offers. I ended up saving about £90. Therefore because I was saving so much money in the first place I totally justified paying about £50 for something I technically didn't really need. Fast forward two months and I am so happy that I ended up ordering it. Every time I brush my teeth I feel like they've never felt cleaner, not that my teeth were dirty when I was using a manual toothbrush, they just feel amazing. I don't know if it's just my imagination but my teeth are also looking slightly whiter! Also despite using it twice a day everyday for the past two months I still haven't had to charge it which I'm surprised about.

This stick perfume from Le Soft has been my perfume of choice each weekend. I'm not going to go into too much detail about it as I wrote a post about it yesterday. I will say that if you get a chance, have a smell of them as you'll love them!

When I haven't been reaching for the stick perfume I've been wearing Molecule 01. As I was linking up all the products for this post and the prices I was surprised to see how much the price of Escentric Molecules has gone up by. I got it as a present last Christmas and I'm pretty sure it was only around £25 for the 30ml but is now nearly £40. It would make me think twice about repurchasing it as I could buy a bigger bottle of another perfume for the same price. Ignoring the price increase, I've rediscovered this perfume this month after not using it for a while. I don't keep my perfumes out on display anymore, apart from the one I use on a daily basis, so with them being kept in a cupboard I tend to forget about what I own. I don't know why I haven't used this more than I have as when I do I'm always reminded about how much I love it. On me the scent is quite peppery and woody. It reminds me a bit of Diptyque Tam Dao. I like to wear it on it's own or mix it with other scents.

  2. I've always been interested in trying the Clinique bottom lashes mascara but I haven't found my current mascaras have been smudging so I haven't felt the need. It seems like such a cute product though, I'll definitely check it out next time I'm at a Clinique counter xxx

  4. I managed to find the Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 in Canada but I was so shocked to see the price! I did not expect it to become this expensive either. Such a shame. xx

  5. Yep, I pretty much really want an electric toothbrush too! They definitely make a difference to your teeth, although I'd only really get one if I found a good offer like you.
