Project Sample Use Up 020

L'Occitane Hand Cream // I used to love this hand cream but after having a couple of tubes of it, I've kind of got sick of the scent. Buy the full size? No.

Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara // This is another one that I've tried before and loved but this time around I wasn't a huge fan. The brush is huge and the mascara itself seemed to dry up really quickly. Buy the full size? No probably not but I would buy a magazine to get the sample again.

Benefit It's Potent! Eye Cream // This mini pot lasted such a long time! It was a very light eye cream which I liked as if an eye cream is too heavy it can irritate my skin. Buy the full size? No as I've fallen in love with a Caudalie eye cream.

Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser // I've had a full sized pot of this before so was happy to use this mini version again. I tended to use this at night as it's quite a thick moisturiser but it's perfect for the winter. Buy the full size? No as I have a lot of other moisturisers to use and I don't need something as thick as this in the summer.

Melvita Rose Floral Water // I really enjoyed using this as a toner as the rose scent is heavenly and it just felt nice on the skin. I don't think it particularly helped my skin but was nice and refreshing. Buy the full size? No as I'm trying to work my way through all my toners before buying a new one.

Skin Life Facial Cream // This is a bit of a cheating one as I technically haven't finished this tube but I'm not going to use it so no point in keeping it. Buy the full size? No.

Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator // I'm generally not a fan of manual face exfoliators as I have very sensitive skin. I like this one from Liz Earle though as it's very gentle and is more like a cream cleanser with small exfoliating beads in it. Buy the full size? Not at the moment.

Lipsy Glam Perfume // This scent reminds me of Lady Gaga's perfume! The notes are lemon, orange blossom, rose, magnolia, ylang-ylang, jasmine, iris, musk and cedar. Buy the full size? I used my Birchbox points and already have.

  1. Hey Katy, this is out of context but your are one person I know has used a lot of products and can filter good from bad! Do you have a suggestion for a good facial exfoliator for Normal skin prone to a little senstivity and redness (not much). I want something gentle but not too abrasive.. and definitely a physical one not chemical! I am eyeing the Aesop exfoliant paste , Ren Micro Polish or something from Body Shop.. Please help! :-)

    1. I'm not the best person to ask when it comes to exfoliators!! I don't tend to use them as my skin is so sensitive and will react to anything. I use a muslin cloth with every cleanser which helps to exfoliate the skin very gently. I also use the balance Me cleansing balm which has tiny oat particles in it for when my skin is looking a bit dry and flaky.

The only exfoliator I can think of using and liking was from Liz Earle but again it was extremely gentle and was more like a cleanser with a little bit of exfoiliation rather than an exfoliator. Sorry I couldn't be of more help! :) xx
