Empties // May 2014

may 2014 empties rottenotter rotten otter blog 3
Modern Apothecary Mint Soap // This was a random TKMaxx find and I bought it purely because it smells so good and would look nice sitting on the sink in the bathroom. I used it as a hand soap but it would have worked nicely as a shower gel. As you can probably guess from the name, the scent was mint and it smelt amazing. It's also a giant bottle so it last a really long time and I think I only paid about £4 for it. Repurchase? I spotted a lavender and sea salt version a few months back in TKMaxx in the clearance section which I bought straight away so no need to buy another bottle.

Ojon Volume Advance Shampoo // I've had this bottle of shampoo for such a long time! I think I got it free along with the conditioner when I bought an Ojon hair oil. This is one of the few shampoos that doesn't irritate the eczema on my scalp. As far as adding volume to my hair, I didn't notice any difference so I wouldn't recommend it for that, only if you have a sensitive scalp. Repurchase? I already have a bottle of Ojons Dry Recovery Shampoo to use up first. It's also pretty expensive so I think I'd only repurchase if it was on offer again and probably wouldn't buy it full price.

Philip Kingsley Itchy/Flaky Scalp Toner // This is another product that I've used several bottles of and I already bought a new bottle before I'd even finished this one. I apply this to towel dried hair in the areas I am most likely to get eczema and it really helps to stop the itching as my hair dries. This is a must have product for anyone with an itchy, dry and eczema prone scalp. Repurchase? Already have!

Dior Instant Cleansing Water // I really enjoyed using this micellar water and it lasted a lot longer than others I've tried. I think this is because it has a pump and I was able to control how much product I was using. This didn't irritate my sensitive eyes and took off every bit of eye make-up. Repurchase? Probably not as it's about £25 when I can buy a bottle of Bioderma for about £10 and it works just as well.

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Noir // Oh how sad I am to see this perfume empty! Despite no perfume coming out when spraying it, it took me a while to work out if it was actually empty or not because you can't see the perfume inside. Succulent ripe berry notes and gourmand accents of the classic scent with a touch of honeysuckle and sandalwood. Repurchase? At some point yes but I want to finish some other perfumes first.

Caudalie Divine Body Scrub // I am so sad to see this body scrub empty! I loved everything about it from the packaging to the scent to how well it worked. Yes it's expensive but a nice treat every now and again. Repurchase? At some point I will.

may 2014 empties rottenotter rotten otter blog 4
Clinique High Impact Mascara // This is one of my all time favourite mascaras and I've repurchased it a couple of times now. It gives length and volume without clumping and still natural enough for everyday use Repurchase? I already have a mini tube so no need to repurchase just yet but I will.

Mor Basil & Grape Hand & Body Wash // This was a TKMaxx find and has the most amazing scent. It's sweet and fruity and I used it as a hand soap. Repurchase? Yes if I can find another bottle again.

Laura Mercier Fresh Fig Shower Gel //
I loved pairing this shower gel with the Fresh Fig Honey Bath and Body Butter. The small tube also lasted a surprisingly long time. Repurchase? No, I wouldn't pay £30 for a shower gel but I would buy it again if it was in a sale.

Laura Mercier Fresh Fig Body Butter //  Another product I'm sad to see empty! I'm not normally a fan of body butters as despite having dry skin, if a cream is too heavy then it irritates my eczema. This was the complete opposite though as it felt light on the skin but was still very moisturising. Repurchase? I would like to but again I don't think I'd pay £27 for it but if it was on sale I would.

Fresh Brown Sugar Body Cream // I never would have thought to try this body cream from Fresh if it hadn't been in a set with the Sugar Lip Treatment. I'm really pleased I've used it though as it applies like a dream and sinks in really quickly. It has a lemon/citrus scent and has gone really well with a lot of the bath products I've been using recently. Repurchase? I don't think I'd buy another tube on it's own as it's not cheap but I wouldn't say no if it was in another gift set.

Lush Slammer Shower Gel // This is one of the retro products form Lush that isn't always available and when it is, it's only online. The scent is a mix of lemon and lime and smells like fruit pastels. Repurchase? If it was still available, yes.

Skin Care Diary // May 2014

Through out each month I'll be keeping a skin care diary and jotting down what I use on an every day basis. At the end of the month I'll tally up what has been used the most and share the products with you.
skin care diary products may 2014 rottenotter rotten otter blog
Bioderma Micellar Water // Liz Earle Eye Bright // Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm // balance Me Skin Bright Hydrating Mist // Weleda Calendula Face Cream // Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado // Weleda Skin Food // Fresh Sugar Lip Balm.

The spotlight product from this month is actually two and they're both eye products. At the start of the month I had a really bad reaction to a product I was using on my eyes. I'm not one hundred percent sure what it was that caused it but I'm pretty sure it was Garnier Express 2 In 1 Eye Make-up Remover as this was a new product and one I hadn't used before. Everything else I was using around my eyes was products I've either been using for a while so would have had a reaction sooner or products I've used before and know my skin is fine with. I didn't want to risk another reaction so I completely stopped using it and have since thrown the bottle away, although it will be getting a mention in a future empties post. For weeks I had incredibly sore and irritate skin around my eyes which caused my eczema to flare up and I had horribly dry patches of flaky skin. I tried everything but the two products that made a massive difference to my skin is Liz Earle's Eye Bright, an old favourite, and Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment, a new favourite. I still have a little patch of dry skin on my right eye but I'm pretty sure the eczema has gone away because of these two products.

What's been your favourite skin product you've used in May?

May Beauty 2014

may 2014 skin care diary rottenotter rotten otter blog 2Kate Somerville Eczema Therapy Cream // I was making an order for the Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream and was just browsing the rest of the products when I came across this cream designed for eczema. For someone who has suffered form eczema her whole life I don't mind spending a bit more money on products as after a lot of trial and error I've found cheaper products just do not work. This is one of those products, it's not cheap but it works! Although there are cheaper creams that work just as well, think FAB Ultra Repair Cream and Lush Dream Cream, this is just a dream to apply. It feels incredibly light on the skin and sinks in instantly but it is extremely moisturising. It also really does help to soothe and heal eczema especially on a stubborn patch on my left that just wouldn't go away. I can see me finishing this tube pretty quickly at the rate I've been using it so far.

Liz Earle Eye BrightKiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado // These two products will be getting a mention in my monthly skin care post tomorrow so I'm not going to be talking about them too much. Let's just say they were both game changers in how the skin around my eyes is now compared to how it was at the start of the month!

Margaret Dabbs Intensive Treatment Foot Oil // This foot oil came in a little discovery set that I bought from Cult Beauty in the hopes of getting my feet somewhat prepared for being on show in the summer. This is my favourite product out of the set as it's more of a dry oil and I can apply this, let it sink in for a few minutes and then walk about and I wont slip and slide on my wooden floor. It also smells of lemons and lemon grass and is really relaxing to use after a bath. The spray bottle makes it really easy and mess free to apply as well, no worries or spilling oil everywhere.

Lady Gaga Fame Perfume // This is the perfume I've been wearing for the majority of the month and I've fallen back in love with it. When I first bought it I wore it everyday and used about half of the bottle but then I must have bought a new perfume and stopped using it. After finishing Elie Saab La Perfume I thought I'd bring it back into use. It lasts a pretty decent amount of time on my skin and clothes so is good for long days at work. I also love the bottle design and that the perfume itself is black.

NOTD // Orly Steel Your Heart

notd orly steel your heart nail polish rottenotter rotten otter blog

Orly's Steel Your Heart* was part of the spring 2012 collection, Cool Romance, and is exactly how the name describes it, a steel colour. It has a metallic finish so you can see the brush strokes if you're not careful when applying. This doesn't bother me too much though as I think the shimmer in metallics sort of hides it.

In some lights Steel Your Heat can come across as having a green hint to it and then others it looks a lot darker. Only two coats is needed and it actually wears really well. Polish doesn't last long on me at all no matter the brand/price but I managed to get 5 days out of it.

Wishlist Shopping 001

wishlist shopping 002 rottenotter rotten otter blog
Whilst I was on my spending ban there was a lot of new lip product launches which I, somehow, managed to avoid and didn't buy any. I didn't even step foot into Boots during those one hundred days so I wouldn't be tempted to part with my money.

Once that was over though I decided to treat myself to a few of them along with a repurchase, the L'Oreal Micellar Water. A lot of these were featured in my Wish List post a couple of days ago.  I couldn't walk out of Boots without buying a couple of nail polishes and these two from the Gelly range from Barry M have been at the top of my to buy list. I chose Rose Hip and Sugar Apple, two perfect spring and summer colour.

The Revlon Colourburst Balm Stains have been out for a long time but I'm yet to try them until now. I bought a set of the Clinique Chubby Sticks a Christmas or two ago and I love them but I wanted a nude/pink shade and Honey is just that. I love the mint scent/flavour and how glossy they are. I will definitely be swatching the other shades! A newer release from Revlon was the Matte Balms and I chose the shade Elusive, a medium pink. I was really impressed with the Matte Balms as with the name they sound like they could end up being very dry and chalky but it's quite the opposite. They are matte in the way that there isn't any glitter or shimmer but the formula is very creamy and smooth. Next on my list is to try the Lacquer Balm!

I'm not normally a fan of lip gloss but once I heard the Maybelline Coloursensational Shine Glosses are similar to the Clarins Instant Lip Perfectors I knew I had to look at the colours. On my shopping list was Glorious Grapefruit, a lovely peachy orange with no shimmer. One I didn't expect to buy but fell in love with as soon as a saw it was Gleaming Grenadine, a bright red with pink shimmer. These a glossy but not sticky and really pigmented, especially the red. They also smell nice and fruity too.

Next up on my shopping list was the L'oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick. I could have bought them all as I really couldn't choose between the colours. In the end I went with a nude pink, Rose Melody, and a bright pink, Rose Symphony. I'm still unsure if I like them or not, I think it's because I haven't tested them out properly yet. At the moment I'm liking the lighter pink better as it applies really nicely, the brighter pink can look slightly patchy when I apply it.

Finally on my list of new releases to look at was the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick. Again I found it quite hard to pick only one to try first out of the six shades but ended up going for Peach Club, a peachy orange. I really like how these apply, look on the lips and how long they last. The thing I wasn't expecting, the scent! I can't even pin point what it smells like but I really despise it

Current Hair Products 001

current hair products 001 rottenotter rotten otter blog 1 current hair products 001 rottenotter rotten otter blog 2
I'm not very adventurous when it comes to my hair, especially how I style it and the products I use. After washing I will more often than not use a leave-in conditioner, salt spray, oil and leave it to dry naturally. Naturally I have wavy/curly hair that is prone to being frizzy so the salt spray helps to enhance the curls and the oil helps to reduce frizz as well as adding some moisture to my dry hair.

Nonetheless I thought I'd share the products I'm currently using. I tend to only change up the products I use when I actually come to the end of a bottle so it might take a while, but I'm sure I'll update when I'm using something new. The shampoo and conditioners I use are what change the most often but I'm currently using Philip Kingsley No Scent No Colour Shampoo as my first shampoo. Despite being a huge fan of Philip Kingsley products, I'm not so keen on this one. I don't think it makes a difference to my sensitive scalp and I'm just trying to finish the bottle. I then follow up with another shampoo using Philip Kingsley Flaky Itchy Scalp Shampoo. This shampoo I love and cannot go without. I'm onto my second bottle and will continue to use it for as long as it works. If you have a sensitive eczema prone itchy scalp and other shampoos just irritate this then you need to give this shampoo a go. Plus it smells like apples!

Since I have a sensitive scalp and extremely dry hair I actually only wash my hair once a week. More often and it makes my scalp itchy and my hair even drier. Therefore I like to use a deep conditioner or mask every other wash. This changes all the time but I'm currently working my way through Andrew Barton SOS Help Me! Conditioner. This is an old favourite that just works well and is pretty cheap. On washes when I don't use a mask then I just use a regular conditioner, Philip Kingsley No Scent No Colour Conditioner. This has a thin consistency so it doesn't weigh the hair down but it's still very moisturising. Pretty impressed with this one despite not loving the shampoo.

Once my hair is towel dried I'll apply a bit of Philip Kingsley Scalp Toner For Flaky Itchy Scalps. I apply this to the areas I get eczema which is mainly my hair line and parting and then a bit at the crown and nape of my neck. This is another product you need to try if you have an itchy scalp! I then follow up with a leave-in conditioner as my hair, especially the ends, get very dry. I spray Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner Spray all over and then sort of scrunch my hair to distribute it. I'm not crazy about it like other people are, instead just trying to use it. I find if I apply too much my hair can go a little sticky feeling. You can read my full review here.

This a new product to my routine, Sachajuan Ocean Mist, and first of all I love the packaging! The product is just as amazing as well. I've just recently gotten back into using salt sprays and they really help to enhance and exaggerate curl in your hair if it's already there. I also find I can be quite liberal when spraying it into my hair and it doesn't leave it feeling stiff or crunchy. To make sure my hair doesn't turn into a frizz ball I always finish off with a bit of hair oil. Not only does this smooth out my hair, it helps to define the curls and add much needed moisture to my hair. I'm currently using Ojon Rare Blend Hair Oil which you shake to mix up the layers. A little of this goes a long way so it's lasted me a really long time. I also love the scent of this. Finally I will just let my hair dry naturally before going to bed.

What products are you using in your hair routine?

Project Sample Use Up 019

project sample use up 019 rottenotter rotten otter blog
Institut Esthederm Bronzant // I finished this last summer but for some reason I kept it with all my body products instead of putting it in my empties box. This spray is meant to adapt the skin to the sun so quite a hard one to tell if it actually works or not. I have very pale skin that burns extremely easily so I wouldn't use this if I was going on holiday, instead I'd use the highest SPF available, but I'd use this on an every day basis during the summer. Buy the full size? maybe.

Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Eye Cream // I enjoyed using this mini tube of eye cream and it felt light enough for my sensitive skin but wasn't anything impressive. Buy the full size? No.

Fresh Black Tea Face Mask // This face mask is very similar to the Origins Drink Up Mask. It's very hydrating and really helped my dry skin. Buy the full size? Yes if it wasn't so expensive.

Origins Drink Up Mask // This is a cheaper alternative to the Fresh face mask. It smells amazing and works wonders on the skin. Buy the full size? Yes but I'm currently enjoying using the Avene hydrating face mask.

Vichy Idealia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream // I really wasn't a fan of this cream as it contains shimmer which is nice under make-up but worn alone you look a bit like Edward Cullen when in the sun. I am enjoying the serum from the same range though. Buy the full size? No.
project sample use up 020 rottenotter rotten otter blog
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner // I've lost count of how many tubes of this I've been through over the years. It works amazingly well at keeping my hair feeling and looking soft. Buy the full size? Not for a long time, I'm a bit sick of the scent from using it for years.

Origins Starting Over Age-Erasing Moisturiser // This was an ok face moisturiser and a really good size for a sample but I'm not looking for an anti-aging moisturiser at the moment, instead I need something to help with my dry skin. Buy the full size? No.

Red Carpet Manicure Erase // This is the nail polish remover when I use the Red Carpet Gel nail polishes. I probably could just buy a bottle of pure acetone but for the moment this is what I'm using as it's not that expensive. Buy the full size? Already have.

project sample use up 021 rottenotter rotten otter blog
Alpha-H Essential Hydration Cream // I was expecting great things from this Alpha-H moisturiser but it was just ok. It felt nice on the skin and was hydrating enough but nothing impressive. Buy the full size? No.

L'Occitane Immortelle Hand Cream // I fell in love with this hand cream the first time I used it. It's incredibly light but still very moisturising and leaves your hands with a slightly matte feeling so perfect to use while in work. It also smells of cucumbers! Buy the full size? Yes once I've finished the other hand creams I already have.

Caudalie Divine Oil // Although this is a multi-purpose product I only really use it as a body oil as I've heard people reacting to it when using it as a face oil and I have very sensitive skin. I've used it as a bath oil as well which works really well and I love pairing it with the Divine Oil Body Scrub. Buy the full size? Already have.

Balenciaga Rosabotanica Perfume // I love the bottle design of this perfume and the adverts for it so was excited to see that a sample was included in my order of the Nars eyeshadow palette. I didn't know the notes of this perfume before trying it for the first time and wasn't sure what sort of scent to expect but I loved it. I have a lot of other perfumes to use but I will be buying a bottle at some point.

Minimising The Stash // Lips

minimizing the stash lip products rottenotter rotten otter blog 1 minimizing the stash lip products rottenotter rotten otter blog 3 minimizing the stash lip products rottenotter rotten otter blog 2 minimizing the stash lip products rottenotter rotten otter blog 4
The other week I posted about spring cleaning my bathroom and wardrobe and I mentioned that I was about to work on my make-up collection. Well I finally did it and it feels good! I sorted through everything and got rid of products I just don't use or had expired and only kept products I know I'll use. Plus it means I now have room to buy some new products! I may or may not have already placed a NYX order for a couple of lip products that everyone raves about.

Before the sort out all my lip products were just throw into one compartment and I only really used the products on top as those are the one's I could see. There was a mix of lipsticks, tinted lip balms, lip glosses, lip liners and crayons. Now though everything has it's own place! My lipsticks are stored in a muji drawer on the top of my dressing table which I'll be blogging about soon. Lipglosses are kept together and the same for lip balms.

On a side note, who needs this many lip balms! My next mission is to work my way through them all and not buy any more until I do so. Ignoring the tinted lip balms, a standard lip balm is a lip balm and I only really need two or three right? One for my dressing table, one for my handbag and one for my bathroom which is where my skin care is.

Wish List 002

wishlist 2
Another wish list from me of all the things I'm lusting over. I've really been enjoying putting these together as it creates a visual shopping list but also means I won't forget about anything.

Some of these things were limited edition products I probably wont ever be able to buy but am still hoping they'll be brought back. The two products that are limited edition are the Chanel Blush and Mac Blush/contour shade that Lisa Eldridge has mentioned in her videos and are great products for people with pale skin, which I have. Another product that I can't seem to find anywhere online in the UK is the Giorgio Armani brow pencil. My eyebrows are extremely light, although I do want them to stand out more if I fill them in, I don't want to stray too far away from my natural hair colour so I've struggled to find the right shade. The shade beige 3 was used in another Lisa Eldridge video and the model has similar hair colouring to me.

I've just gone out an bought the two Barry M nail polishes despite owning a million and one other pale pink and mint green polishes. Also I've tried to buy the Garnier Micellar Water on several occasions but it's always sold out! Does this mean it's really good or is everyone just testing it out at the moment?

A couple of hair products I want to try out are from Bumble & Bumble Brilliantine and Cityswept which Kate raves about along with another Tangle Teezer to add to my collection.

A perfume that I always smell when passing it in a shop is Tom Fords Black Orchid. I love this perfume but whenever I come across it, I always have a million other pefumes to use so have never bought it. Once I finish a couple more bottles then I'm definitely going to buy a bottle. I also love the packaging and how it looks sitting on a dressing table, definitely one you keep once the bottle is empty.

Growing Courgettes 2014

planting growing courgettes 2014 rottenotter rotten otter blog 1 planting growing courgettes 2014 rottenotter rotten otter blog 3 planting growing courgettes 2014 rottenotter rotten otter blog 4
Although a lot later than planned, last weekend I planted courgette seeds for the third year in a row. If I could I'd have a whole garden, or allotment, filed with fruit and veg but for now I'm happy with growing courgettes. I'm not a natural gardener and don't particularly have a green thumb. I have managed to kill the majority of plants I've tried to grow but for some reason, probably because you don't really have to do too much, I can grow courgettes. Last years plants managed to produce about thirty-ish courgettes so I'm hoping for the same amount this year. I've mixed things up a bit though and bought seeds that hopefully will grow both yellow and green courgettes.

Although this is the third time growing courgettes, it still surprises me just how quickly these plants grow. I planted the seeds last Sunday, using old yogurt pots to create mini greenhouses, and nothing happened all week. I kept checking them each day to see if I could spot any shoots appearing but nothing. I looked yesterday morning and I could see one popping up. Mearly hours later all five appeared. It's almost like you can see them growing before your eyes they grow that quickly and it'll be no time before I have to plant them into buckets.

Anyone else growing fruit or vegetables this year?

Beauty Box // Birchbox May 2014

Soigné Nail Polish in Crème Au Beurre // This is a brand I've never heard of before but it's a really nice colour and I'm looking forward to trying it. I'm sure I'll share a NOTD of it soon.

Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath & Shower Oil // This box is full of some of my favourites, especially this bath oil. It's one of the scents I'm thinking of buying the full size of so another mini bottle is more than welcome. These bath oils are incredibly moisturising and a little goes a long way.

Benefit They're Real! Mascara // I've been through several of these mini versions so still haven't actually bought the full size, I think this might be my fourth?! I really like the wand and how this makes my lashes look.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser // Cleanse & Polish is one of my favourite cleanser and one I've used for about ten years now and have been through countless bottles. I always have these mini tubes floating around, I've just given one to a friend to test out, so happy to have another one.

Beauty Protector Protect & Shampoo and Protect & Condition // This little duo couldn't have come at a better time as my parents went on holiday the day after my box arrived so my mum took these along with her. They're away for two weeks so these little bottles are the perfect size. They also smell really nice too which I've found with all the Beauty Protector products I've tried.

Birchbox is £10 + £2.95 postage per month.

Barry M Papaya // two coats

This was one of the polishes I featured in my Spring Nail Polish Picks. For me orange shades can be a bit tricky and they don't always suit my skin tone but I really like this one. I think it's the hint of pastel that makes it work well. As with all the gelly nail polishes, it's incredibly glossy and I only applied a top coat so it would last longer. This polish was a little on the thick side but still really easy to apply.

Bath Essentials 001

bath essentials 001 rottenotter rotten otter blog_
Taking a bath is one of my favourite ways to relax and unwind before bed either after a long day at work or a busy weekend. A quick two minute shower is sometimes necessary in the mornings but if I can make the time to take a bath, I will. I thought I'd start sharing the products I'm loving at the moment and will update as and when I'm using new or different products.

Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts // This is a luxury bath product and one I don't use on an everyday basis. Instead I save it for Sunday pampers or nights when I've had trouble sleeping and need to completely relax. A scoop full of the salts in your bath water really does help you sleep better that night. When using them  you're meant to not touch anything electric afterwards and just go straight to bed. I don't always do this but more often than not I do try to read a book before bed instead of watching tv. These also smell amazing and manage to fill up the whole room with the scent which I've found some bath salts just don't do.

Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Bath Salts & Body Cream // Sticking with bath salts, these from Laura Mercier are also really nice. The almond coconut scent is exactly as you'd imagine and is almost sickly sweet but not quite. I reach for these bath salts when my skin is feeling dry as they really moisturise the water and then I can follow up with the body cream with the same scent.

The Body Shop Fig & Rosemary Shower Gel // Although these don't seem to be available online anymore I think you can still buy them in store, at least I hope you can as I need to repurchase this scent! I never would have put fig and rosemary together let alone me actually liking it but I completely fell in love with it. The shower gel is very watery so I always use a shower lily otherwise I feel like I waste a lot of product.

Mor Base Grape Candle // You can't have a relaxing bath without lighting a candle and the one I've been burning recently is a bargain find from TKMaxx. Mor is a brand I always hear Fleur talking about but I've never seen it being sold anywhere up until a few months ago when I spotted a lot of the products in TKMaxx. I loved all the different scents but after falling in love with the basil grape hand soap I knew I had to buy the candle as well. It's a very sweet fragrance and the basil in it is very subtle. As far as the candle goes it burns really nicely and the scent fills up the room well. I think I only paid £4 or £5 for it as well and it's a soy candle which doesn't irritate my skin.

A Spring Clean

So for the past two weekends I've been spending my days spring cleaning so thought I'd share what I've been up to. This post is all inspired by Anna and her bathroom tidy up and Lily's wardrobe sort out.

Since we bought new bathroom cupboards last year I don't think I've actually given them a proper deep clean. I've cleaned the glass shelves a couple of times but not done the whole hog. It was about time to take everything out, have a good sort through, clean and then put everything back in nice and neatly. Let's see how long it takes before everything becomes one big mess again!

I went through all my skin care products and sorted them into two categories: products I'm using everyday and products I either haven't used yet or don't use very often. With a bit more space on this shelf meant I was able to add in my toners, eye cream, serums and moisturisers instead of storing them in my bedroom. Everything else has now been stored away in my bedroom until I finish other products. I'll have a post up soon listing all the products in here and I'm currently using up soon.

Next up on my spring clean was my wardrobe. This isn't completely finished for summer, I still have all my shorts packed away, as the weather has been horrible recently so I'm still needing the majority of my jumpers and warmer tops. I did try everything on though and finally get rid of some clothes that just needed throwing away or giving to a charity shop.

In a month or so I'll have to have another sort out and pull out my summer clothes from under my bed but for now at least I know I'll wear everything and actually have space on the rail to buy some new clothes.

My next task is sorting out my make-up collection!
