100 Day Spending Ban Round 2

Last year I set myself the challenge of a 100 day spending ban and failed so this year I'm doing it again in the hopes that I can stick to it. Again, I just want to try and use up products instead of them just sitting in cupboards while I continuously buy new products. It would also be nice to save a little bit more money than I am currently. So on the 10th April my spending ban will be over.

Last year I gave myself the exception of buying nail polish but I'm not going to do this this year. I'm not going to buy:
Clothes // I have enough winter clothes and do not need anymore.
Beauty stuff // this includes nail polish, make-up, skin care, hair care and body care.
Books // I have a huge pile of books that I haven't read yet.

I will allow myself to buy a product if I completely run out, like eye make-up remover for example which I think I probably will run out of in three months.

Anyone else doing anything similar?

  1. This is such a good idea! Looking at my bank balance today was scary, I'm definitely on board!

  3. I write a list at the start of the month of things that I actually need - like new boots. If something's on the list and I see it, I can get it. If it's not on the list, I don't get it - otherwise I end up with things that I've bought on a whim and never wear or use. Not sure I could manage a full on ban though...

  4. This is such a good idea. I'm not allowing myself to buy any skincare until I have used up my stash & that could take a while.
Wishing you lots of luck with you 100 day goal

  5. Ooooo I need to do this too. I think I'm going to limit buying clothes and makeup, but I run out of skin care quickly, so I think I'd need to keep purchasing that!

  6. I think I'll be keeping my spending under wraps again now that the New Year is here. My aim is to clear all of my debts by the end of the year! x
