Favourites: April 2013

april 2013 beauty favourites rottenotter rotten otter blog 2 april 2013 beauty favourites rottenotter rotten otter blog 1 I'm still using and loving everything from my last favourites post but here's a few new products I've been using as well as some old favourites.

Soap And Glory Heel Genius - With the weather getting slightly warmer and summer is in sight I've been applying this heel moisturiser each night to prepare my feet for sandals and flip flops. I get very dry skin on my feet as I'm constantly walking around bare footed so I need a fast working moisturiser. Usually I just use a normal body butter but I got this in the Christmas gift set from S&G so have started to reach for this instead. It smells great, soaks in quickly but is still very moisturising. I've noticed a big difference since using this and I'll be applying it right through summer.

ASOS Boyfriend Watch - I've been without a watch for probably about a year and I've missed having one. I was going to treat myself and use my 21st Birthday money, which I still haven't spent, and buy an expensive watch but I still haven't made up my mind which want I want. In the mean time I've bought this cheap one ASOS and I love it. Finally I can know the time without having to constantly ask people.

ASOS Spike Necklace - At the same time as buying the watch I added this spike necklace to my order. I've worn it everyday since and it fits nicely with the plain shirts I wear for work.

China Glaze Strawberry Fields Nail Polish - This is a strange favourite for me as it's not usually a colour I choose for nail polish. For some reason though I've reached for it a few times this month. It's a bright pink with a hint of berry to it and gold shimmer. The formula is perfect as well.

Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Balm - This has been my lip product of choice this month and I think I've worn it pretty much everyday. It's hydrating and leaves a nice natural rose tint to the lips.

Burberry Body Perfume - I think this is one of my favourite perfumes of all time. It's the one I get the most compliments on and what are you wearing? questions. I'm also going through it very quickly! I never would have thought I'd like a Burberry perfume but as soon as I smelt this one I knew I had to buy the full size.

Top notes: Green absinthe, peach and freesia.
Middle notes: Rose absolute, iris and sandalwood.
Base notes: Cashmeran, vanilla, amber and musk.

Liz Earle Skin Tonic - Since my Caudalie Beauty Elixir ran out I've been using this one instead. It's very gentle and soothing which is perfect when my skin is feeling irritated. Also alcohol isn't one of the main ingredients unlike the Caudalie one. I find the scent very relaxing so it's perfect to use before bed.

Real Technique Brushes - I finally bought from Real Technique brushes and I've been loving them. In particular the Deluxe Crease brush which I've been using to blend out eyeshadow, the Powder brush and the Blush brush. They're all incredibly soft, apply product very well and I'm excited to add some more to my collection.
