100 Day Spending Ban Update

100 day spending ban update rottenotter rotten otter blog
The 100 day spending ban is officially over as of Wednesday. How did I do? I failed. Miserably. I ended up making a couple of online orders over the 100 days which I completely justified in my head. I couldn't not order those Limited Edition products from Lush or take advantage of Dainty Doll being only £1.99 on Fragrance Direct! I also bought some new skin care additions because of the Escentual French skin care offer in March.

Overall though I have saved a lot of money since January. I've managed to add quite a lot of money to my new laptop fund as well as being able to buy the chair I've wanted from Ikea which I'm getting next week. I've become a lot better at actually using the products I have instead of just constantly buying new ones. I've had a huge spring clean of my make-up, nail polish, skin care and hair care collections and now only have products I know I'm going to use. Everything else has been passed on or thrown away.

I'm hoping I'll be able to carry on with the more saving, less spending frame of mind and be a bit more careful with my money. I'm going to carry on with only buying a product when I've used up everything else and hopefully that'll help too. I'm glad I did it, even though it was hard!

  3. I think you did a good job anyway. I am on a P50P (36 so far) and it is getting really difficult. I will not do this again, not this many anyway, maybe P30P next time instead.

  4. Glad that it has been a successful spending ban, minus the couple of cheeky purchases! :-)

  5. Yeah I kinda failed too! But i spent less than I would've done, and it's definitely made me think a bit more before I just go out and spent loads on make up I don't need! xx

  6. I managed to successfully complete my 100 days no shopping BUT it totally backfired when I was finished. After the 100 days I spent a month of going crazy on beauty products and clothing. It sounds like you have a perfect little plan in place to avoid that xx
