China Glaze Electric Pineapple & Whirled Away - NOTD

I really love this combination of nail polish and I've been wearing it a lot recently. The base is China Glaze Electric Pineapple which came out with the 2011 Island Escape collection. It's a green yellow which is an ugly colour and one that a lot of people wont like but I love it. For Electric Pineapple to become opaque you really need three coats but I only did two because I was applying a thicker polish on top.
The top coat is one of my newest polishes and is Whirled Away from the Cirque du Soleil collection. It's a mix of black and white glitter, all different shapes and sizes. Whirled Away is hard to apply, the clear polish is thick but runny and it's hard to pick up all the different pieces of glitter. In the end I just sort of dapped the glitter on instead of using brush strokes. Also don't make the mistake I did and apply your topcoat straight away. It will bubble!
I bought Electric Pineapple from NailPolishDirect (wouldn't recommend) and Whirled Away from Amazon (would recommend).
Amazon are absolutely fab for China Glaze! Such a good price too. Electric Pineapple looks like such a great vibrant colour!
ReplyDeleteI love both of them separately and the combination! The glitter one is amazing, but you just confirmed my worries that it's hard to apply. Looks lovely though!
