DIY Moustache Mug

After pinning a mug DIY the other month I thought I'd give it a go. I bought a cheap standard mug from Asda, I think it was £2.50, just in case it went horribly wrong and cracked in the oven. For this particular one I used a sharpie which works great if you're just writing or drawing using lines. It doesn't work so well if you're colouring in a shape like I've done. You can see all the lines you've made which you might be able to notice on the middle photo. Also the design isn't going to last forever and definitely wont if you put it in a dishwasher but it's fun and nice while it lasts. Once the design has come off you can simply create another one!

It's very simple to do:
- draw on your design
-leave to dry over night
- place in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
- make yourself a nice hot drink and enjoy

I have since bought a special pen which I'll be writing a post on as I've just finished making my brothers present and a few mugs for myself.

Have you had a go at drawing on your own mugs? Next I'm going to get some coloured mugs to have a go with.
