Skin Care Routine

I don't think I've written a skin care routine post before so thought I'd do one now. As you can see from the photos, the main brand I use is Liz Earle. I've been using the Cleanse & Polish for about 4 years now and the Skin Repair moisturiser for about 3.

A bit of background info on my skin: I have very sensitive, dry and eczema prone skin. I've gone back to basics and what I know works after trialing different skin care products and my skin not liking me for it.

skin care routine
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - I only use this at night as I find my skin goes quite pink after washing. I just use a pump or two, depending if I'm taking off any eye makeup, and massage it into my skin. I then take a warm damp muslin cloth and take it off in circular motions. I rinse the muslin cloth and go over my face again to make sure I get everything off. I then splash my face with cold water and finally I leave my skin to dry by itself.

Liz Earle Eye Bright - If I'm wearing a lot of eye make-up I'll use this before my cleanse & polish as it works wonders. It gets off every scrap of make-up without irritating my eyes. It also works great as an eye treatment.

Liz Earle Skin Tonic - After cleansing at night and in the morning before moisturiser I'll spray this onto my face. It helps to refresh and soothe my skin and I also find my moisturiser soaks in better as well.

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser - I have all 3 variations of this moisturiser at the moment but really only use two. I use the light version in the mornings as I find it soaks in quickly and is a really good base for make-up. I then use the one for dry skin at night as it's a little bit thicker so it doesn't really matter if it takes a bit longer to soak in.
skin care routine extras
Everything in the photo above is used when needed which could be every day or once a week. These are my extras.
Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask* - I use this once every two weeks to brighten my skin and refresh it. I apply it to my whole face, leave it on for 1 minute and then wash off with a muslin cloth.  I sometimes mix it in with my cleanse & polish as well.

Liz Earle Deep Cleansing Mark & Ahava Purifying Mud Mask* - I use these twice a week on my nose and chin which are my problem areas when it comes to spots and black heads. These both work really well and just use whichever one I fancy that day. I apply a layer, leave it on until it dries and then wash away with the Liz Earle sponge.

Weleda Skin Food* - This has worked wonders recently as my skin has been horribly dry and flaky. At the moment I'm applying this as my morning moisturiser and keeps the dry flaky areas at bay.

Alva & Liz Earle Spot Treatments - Again, these both work really well so I just pick whichever one I fancy using that day. I usually apply this at night and in the morning I can see a difference to the spot.

  4. Thanks for the advice. I usually use the dillards brand my mom buys me...but this one sounds better. I think I might as well give a new one a try.
