Barcelona here I come :)

I'm off to Barcelona for just under two weeks and I haven't had time to schedule some posts sorry! If I have a bit of spare time in the airport I might schedule some of my drafts. I don't think there is an internet connection in our apartment but I'm going to find an internet cafe somewhere so I'll be able to check up on blogger a couple of times :) I'm also waiting to hear back from two uni's to see if I got onto the courses so I need internet for that too.

Hope you all have a wonderful two weeks and I'll speak to you when I'm back :)

No doubt I'll be sharing some holiday snaps with you!

Another ASOS order

I won Pippa’s (Clashing Time) contest on her blog and won a £25 ASOS voucher. I was so excited as ASOS is one of my favourite shops, if you can call it a shop.

I’d already made a few orders before I got the voucher so there wasn’t much in the way of clothes or accessories that I wanted so I went for a few things I don’t think I would have bought with my own money.

I love them all and am so happy with them :) The Korres lip butter comes in such a lovely box! It doesn’t smell of too much, a very subtle rose scent but the consistency is gorgeous and I definitely want to buy more of these. It is really moisturising and the colour is my lips but better.

I missed out on the Models Own sale the other month but really wanted to try out their formula so I got this lovely pinky red and so far I love it.

I’m excited to finally have the famous Seche Vite which everyone raves about, I just hope it works better for me than OPI’s.

I really wanted to try the OPI matte/suede polishes when they came out but wasn’t sure I would like the finish so I didn’t want to pay £10 for just one colour. This Essie matte top coat is perfect. For £10 I probably wouldn’t have bought it without this voucher but I love it now I’ve got it. I’ve been testing it out on a few polishes, some it works really well on and some it doesn’t so look out  for NOTD’s.

Wardrobes I’d love to own

I really enjoyed reading Victoria’s post (Lily Loves Lola) on her style inspirations and though I’d do one of my own.

I don’t really have a “style” and I don’t follow trends to the T, I just wear what I like and feel comfortable in and usually pull in one piece that is on trend. Quite a lot of the time you’ll see me in leggings and a hoody :)

These are in no particular order and I could probably think of so many more but I thought I’d narrow it down to these. Maybe I’ll do another one of these posts sometime with other styles that I like.

Vanessa Hudgens

I’ve only recently started to like Vanessa Hudgens and her style. I’m jealous of all her bags a long with everyone else’s that is in this post. I am also jealous of who her boyfriend is, Zack Efron has really grown up recently! She looks great whether she’s dressed up or wearing a baggy hoody and trucker cap. Her style, a long with everyone else who I’ve chosen, is quite simple and really easy to replicate without needing to buy designer. I think my favourite look is when she wears high waisted jeans and a floaty top, the jeans make her look so much taller! I’m only 1 inch taller than she is and I have really short legs so I might try on a pair of high waisted trousers and see if I like them, or maybe some shorts for the summer. I've never owned any before!

Lauren Conrad

I’ve loved Lauren Conrad ever since season 1 of Laguna Beach which I used to watch after school years ago. She has always been my favourite cast member and always looks perfect. Her hair, clothes and make-up are always so well put together. I couldn’t be wearing all those heels everyday though, my feet would hate me! She does dress safe most of the time but if you know what suits you then why branch out? I love Lo too so I had to sneak a couple of photos of her in :)

Ashley Tisdale

My favourite outfit I’ve seen Ashley Tisdale wearing so far is the bottom row second from the right photo, the floral dress and navy cardi. This  is a look I’ll be wearing a lot this spring/summer. It’s so effortless but looks so cute on. I love all her bags too and wish I had the money to buy them. I have bought some cheaper ones but in the same style over the past few weeks but I still love the designer ones more, who doesn't?!Even though she’s in the public eye everyday she’s not afraid to go out in sweats and uggs. I cut her boyfriends head off sorry! He’s just too tall :)

Gossip Girl

I love Gossip Girl so much! I think if I hated the story line and characters I’d probably still watch it just purely for the clothes. Luckily I love it all :) I’d probably say this is the one I get my everyday inspirations from the least. I do take bit’s and pieces from outfits but not whole one’s unlike the others. In a dream world though I’d dress like them everyday!

Review: The body shop Hemp hand protector

I first bought this cream at a Body Shop party at my mums friends house a couple of years ago and have used it constantly since. You can tell how loved this tube is as it’s really battered. I haven’t got much of this one left so I’ll have to get a back up soon for the summer.

The body shop describes this as “Hemp seed oil - Has an unusually high concentration of essential fatty acids that help to repair the skin's moisture barrier thus helping to restore moisture, smoothness and suppleness. Allantoin - Helps to relieve and soothe dry skin. Panthenol - Is proven to improve flexibility of the nails, helping to reduce flaking and breakage”

Their tip is “To intensify the treatment, apply the Hemp Hand Protector and then wear The Body Shop Moisturising Gloves overnight to seal in the moisture.”

What I think: This cream is too thick to use on my hands on a daily basis, I have another cream for that, but it is great for over night treatments. I use this mostly for my feet. In the summer I walk around everywhere in bare feet, with exceptions obviously, my feet are far from sensitive.  I put this down to me walking around bare feet for a whole two weeks every time I went away to Monkton Wyld with my family. Because of this I do get really dry heels and this cream has been a life saver.

It is amazing if you have dry/cracked heels. I usually use this as an over night treatment as it is quite thick. What I do is apply a thick layer of the cream to my feet and then put socks on and go to bed. It is really simple and you will see a huge difference even after the first application!

It contains cannabis sativa but doesn’t smell like what you think it would. I can’t really describe the scent but it’s really nice, smells quite natural.

You can buy the hemp protector specifically for your feet but it’s in a tub and I just find the tube easier, you can get the right amount out without touching any of the other product. They are the same price and basically the same ingredients.

Price: £10.00 for 100ml, a small amount goes a long way.

Re-buy? I always do!

George nail polishes

It feels like I haven’t posted for such a long time, I’ve been particularly busy this week! I went down to London for a uni interview on Wednesday but hated the course so it seemed like such a waste of time :( At least I’ve loved all my other course choices though! I’ve also failed miserably with the 30 day challenge so I think I’ll stop it for now and maybe carry on with it at a later date :)

I’ve wanted to try these polishes ever since I saw them pop up in the blogging world. Me and my family do the weekly shop in Asda so I was all excited about getting some, did they have any? no!

Our local Asda is quite big and has a good isle for make-up and beauty but no George stand. Me and mum went to a different Asda to pick up a few bits so I went and had a look if I could find them.

And voila!

This is the best photo I took which showed the truest colour apart from the darker pink which is slightly more brighter irl.

I was really tempted to get some of the darker shades and mattes but I stopped my self and bought some lovely pastel shades, great for spring and summer. I can easily go back in the Autumn and pick up some more :)
