July favourites

Last month it was nail polish, this month it's hair products!

The one product I’ve used the most this month is probably V05’s sea salt spray. Really easy product to work with, sprayed in hair when damp and left to air dry. Enhances my natural wave/curl really well.

If you want any more information/reviews on any of the products in the photo don’t hesitate to ask :)

Don’t forget to enter my Aussie giveaway which ends on Friday, 30th July! You can enter here.

Hopefully, as you all know May has organised a charity blog sale and we have a date set! Here is your official invite :)
Feel free to post the invite on your blog, pass this on to your friends, family, readers and everyone else! The more people who know about the blog sale the better :) Here’s the website for the image: Hopefully none of you are superstitious, the sale is Friday 13th! xoxo

New Barry M Lip gloss wands

I look advantage of the 30% off code and bought two new shades of the lip gloss wands. I love these lip glosses are they’re not sticky and have great pigmentation. These two new additions are no exception.

l-r: Strawberry milkshake 12, Coral 11.
Along with these two there are also 3 other new shades, bronze shimmer, peach sparkle and bubblegum glitter. I knew I’d love the two I’d ordered but I think I’ll have to swatch the other colours in store before buying. Strawberry milkshake is a much more wearable colour for me than pastel pink, it’s less milky and more creamy, if that makes sense! In the tube you can see it’s full of finely milled fuchsia glitter but on the lips it isn’t noticeable. The swatch on the website makes Coral look orange when in fact it’s pink with a hint of coral. It’s a gorgeous colour with no glitter or shimmer and one I’ll be wearing a lot this summer! Once again these two smell delicious! Strawberry milkshake smells exactly that, strawberry milkshake! Very much l…

First attempt at nail marbling

This is my first attempt at nail marbling and I’m pretty proud! My mum kindly let me experiment on her nails as I’m giving mine a rest at the moment, the tips have started to peel a bit. She chose to have just her ring fingers marbled and then chose to paint the rest using the light blue :) Polishes used: ASOS paint by Ciate in Agyness Barry M nail paint in Pale Turquoise George in Frost bite Anyone got any good tips for beginners? Know how to avoid bubbles in the polish? Which polishes work best? Let me know! xoxo

A'kin Jojoba & Lavender Light Conditioner

I absolutely love the smell, I love anything that smells of lavender. Not so sure I could smell the jojoba but once again I’m not very good at picking out scents. I really didn’t like the bottle though, I found it really hard to squeeze the product out with only one hand. Each time I used it, it was harder and harder to get out. Would this stop me from repurchasing? I’m not sure. My hair is really dry at  the ends, it really just needs a trim but I don’t want to get rid of the length, so I like to use a thick conditioner. This one is just too light for me but would be perfect for someone with fine or oily hair. For me £7.49 is quite expensive for a conditioner which doesn’t quite work for me so I wouldn’t repurchase. I would be interested in trying the A’kin conditioner for dry hair to see if it works better for me though. You can find more information about this conditioner here. xoxo

Soap and Glory’s Feel the knead

I bought this in September and have only just got round to using it. I should have tried it sooner as it’s one of my favourite Soap and Glory products!
I have quite sensitive skin and as much as I love my soap and glory scrub it can be a bit harsh for daily use. Instead Feel the knead is a soap and exfoliator in one. It exfoliates, cleans your skin as well as massaging away cellulite. Sounds like a perfect product!! You all should know by now I’m not the greatest when it comes to scents so here’s what Soap and Glory say.
“Mesmerizing blend of mint, thyme, chocolate, vanilla and musk causes stiffs to feel the knead. A super invigorating spa massage soap with exfoliating bamboo beads, seaweed suds and essential oils of cacao and carouba. Includes two kinds of seaweed and caffeine extract. Use it to Rub stubborn cellulite!” RRP £5 and can be found in Boots stores or online. I recommend this to everyone and I’ll definitely be buying another one when it’s finished :) Have you tried this already…

Lovea moisturising body milk

I love body moistursiers but I always struggle to find one that doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky or greasy, I want to be able to put my clothes on or go to bed straight away. I haven't had a problem with this one by Lovea as it's a body milk therefore having a lighter consistency but still hydrates the skin very well. It soaks in straight away leaving your skin really smooth and silky. This smells just like the shampoo from Lovea which I reviewed here. I still can't place the scent, something that I've read in a lot of other reviews by bloggers who have reviewed this as well. It's perfect for summer though! Packaging wise it's a bit boring but I love that is has a pump so you can use just the right amount of product and no wastage. I find that two pumps is the perfect amount for one leg. For only £6.99 I'd definitely buy it again and I think I'll be trying the Burkina shea butter lotion for dry skin in the winter can be found here. You can read more…
